Free Enterprise II:
The Wrath of Shatner
The bromance of Rob and Mark has hit a wall in this sequel to the award winning cult classic Free Enterprise. Now 35, Mark, the ever devoted Democrat, has become a speech writer for the Republicans and Rob, is still chasing his dream of becoming a filmmaker, even though he’s shooting wedding videos. Speaking of weddings… Rob and his girlfriend Claire are engaged and, being the sci-fi, Star Trek geeks they are, there’s only one possible person who should marry them. William Shatner.
Shatner tells Rob that he’s “not really a ship’s Captain” but, thanks to the internet, the great state of Nevada and of course, Shatner’s Jewish heritage, Shatner can become a rabbi… and believing that this could actually be his new calling in life… he does.
Before long, Shatner, in true “Shatner fashion”, has taken this new calling one step too far and suddenly disappeared. No one knows where he is and some, would prefer to keep it that way. With the wedding date quickly approaching and the mid-East peace crisis escalating all at once, the three must find Shatner, save him from himself, and get him back to Las Vegas in time to officiate the ceremony.
